We’ll discuss Chris Bohjalian’s engrossing novel Before You Know Kindness on Wednesday, October 28, in the Hendrickson Room of the Arlington Heights Memorial Library from 2 to 4 p.m. in the next meeting of our Book Discussion and Leadership Training. The second hour of the discussion will focus on nuts-and-bolts training issues specific to library discussion leaders.
Notes will be made available to all ARRT members after the program, which will be moderated by ARRT Steering Committee members Ted Balcom and Becky Spratford. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to attend. There is no charge to ARRT members, but you should get your own copy of the book and read it before the meeting.
Before You Know Kindness examines the tragic consequences of an accidental shooting that shatters the quiet world of a privileged New England family. There is much to discuss, from well-developed characters to complicated relationships and hot button topics such as animal rights and teenage drinking.
